I have heard people asking about what is happening to Singapore lately. Why are there more scandals or corruption cases heard lately? Hot on the heels of the CNB's chief case is the Michael Palmer's case. I don't think human nature has changed much over the past few years. The main difference i think would be the rise of the internet. This has leveled the playing fields for everyone and taken away much power from those traditional medias. It is really hard to hide nowadays. If the media doesn't want to publish for certain reasons, there's always someone out there ready to use the internet to spread the message. Then the media will continue to lose it's credibility. I guess it is fair to say internet makes the world a fairer place. It helps every David out there fight the Goliath.
